Splurge vs. Steal: Trendy Summer Slides

Hello friends!

I am super excited to share today's blog post with you! Let me give you a tiny backstory to start it off..

While out shopping with my mom a few weeks ago, I fell IN LOVE with the most beautiful mustard yellow slides in Madewell- you know the kind that you think about for days after you see them? Ahh, it was bad! I often say that if you love something that much, you should buy it (within reason). However, there are also times when sticking to a budget needs to be top priority, and I don't ever want to negate the importance of that in my own life or encourage anyone else to.

So, I begrudgingly decided spending $100 on slides I probably wouldn't wear everyday wasn't a wise decision and let them go (cry face).  BUT THEN... Several days later I was perusing the shoe section at Target and lo and behold- they had a similar pair of yellow slides for TWENTY-TWO DOLLARS!!

I think I legitimately screamed in excitement. Haha! The closer I looked, the more I noticed that Target is absolutely killing it in the shoes department right now (and every other department, let's be real). I saw so many sandals and slides that looked almost identical to designer shoes I'd seen lately.

So, I've created a massive round-up of all the best slides for summer and the Target dupes I found for much cheaper! I've tried *almost* all of the Target slides on in store and own a few of them and am very pleased with their quality.

I bought the Target yellow slides and have already worn them several times each week! They are crazy comfortable.  Those navy espadrilles are on my list next! (Heart eyes!) Both fit true to size.

I bought/tried on my typical size (6.5) in all of the Target slides, and they fit well.  However, I have heard several other people say that they need to go up a half size in slides so if you fluctuate more in your shoe size based on brand, I would say go ahead and go up to the larger size in the Target brands.

Call me crazy, but I actually like the Target version a little better on a few of these! How stinking cute are the raffia ones with the different colored tassels?! I have had the leopard espadrilles from Target for a few months now, and they've been super comfortable and have held up really nicely.

Of course, there are some benefits to paying a little more for shoes if they are something you plan to wear most days- the quality and comfort level can often be higher, and they typically last longer. However, I am fully on board with each of these dupe styles from Target and think they are perfect if you want a fun, trendy summer shoe!

Target did NOT sponsor this post in any way- all opinions are 100% my own and unendorsed!
